Artwalk Festival 2023: Celebrating Culture and Creativity

For the 9th edition of the Artwalk Festival, I contributed to creating an engaging online showcase highlighting the festival's return to physical form after two years of online and hybrid formats. This vibrant event, set in Little India and Katong-Joo Chiat, offered an array of live performances, workshops, and immersive experiences celebrating cultural diversity.

Key features included Origin, a multidisciplinary performance by Mark Nicodemus Tan, bringing mythical characters to life through music, dance, poetry, and theatre. Kamini Ramachandran led an interactive cultural tour, sharing stories about Pongal, the Tamil harvest festival, while allowing participants to savor traditional Pongal rice dishes and learn about their preparation. The festival also offered hands-on activities like the Rangoli Workshop by Vijaya Mihan, where attendees explored the history and techniques behind this beautiful art form.

This project reflects my ability to communicate cultural narratives effectively, emphasizing storytelling and engagement to connect audiences with heritage and the arts.
